SightFind Use Policy

SightFind is designed to help ski groups find each other, but it is not an emergency service, avalanche tool, rescue service, or substitute for mountain judgment. By using SightFind, users agree to use it safely, legally, and with consent from the people they connect with.

Mountain Safety

• SightFind is not ski patrol, avalanche rescue, emergency navigation, or a guarantee that another person can be reached. Call local emergency services when safety is at risk.
• GPS, compass, altitude, speed, AR alignment, maps, slope data, terrain data, and friend positions can be delayed, unavailable, or wrong because of terrain, weather, tree cover, buildings, battery state, device sensors, or network conditions.
• Users must obey resort rules, signs, closures, avalanche warnings, local law, and their own ability level.
• Official resort signs, patrol instructions, avalanche bulletins, and current local conditions are the authority.

Consent and Group Privacy

• Only create, join, or share group codes with people who understand that live location may be visible to the group.
• Treat group codes and invite links like private access links. Do not post them publicly.
• Do not use SightFind to stalk, pressure, threaten, harass, impersonate, or monitor anyone without permission.
• If someone leaves a group or asks not to be tracked, respect that immediately.

Map, Slope, and AR Data

• Ski slopes, lifts, route names, terrain, map tiles, mountain labels, and AR overlays may be incomplete, outdated, misaligned, or unavailable.
• Use map, slope, terrain, and AR information as guidance only.
• Do not enter closed, unsafe, avalanche-prone, private, restricted, or out-of-bounds terrain because the app shows a line, label, marker, or route there.

Support Messages

• Use Support Messages for real bugs, safety issues, account problems, or feedback.
• Do not send passwords, payment details, medical records, government IDs, or other highly sensitive information through Support Messages.
• Do not submit abusive, unlawful, misleading, or spam support messages.

Plus and Sponsored Content

• SightFind may show clearly labeled first-party RadarCopter promotions.
• SightFind Plus is optional and removes in-app ads and first-party promotional placements without blocking core group, map, slope, and location-sharing features.
• Sponsored content, if introduced, must be clearly labeled and must not block AR, map tracking, or active group location use.

Misuse

SightFind may restrict service access or support access if the app is used to harm others, evade safety rules, abuse the service, attack the backend, scrape private group data, bypass access controls, or violate applicable law.
